Hi all!! Here is my October wrap up reviews! (all the books I read in October) Since I didn’t do many individual reviews in the past month, I decided that if I did an October wrap up, you guys could have inspiration on what to read in November! Here they are, in no particular order! Make sure to check out the links to the books descriptions by clicking the underlined title of the book!
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
First up is The Night Circus! I started reading this book and read it over a period of about 4 days. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and all of the mystery that comes along with it. I thought that this book was a bit confusing at first, but that was because I read it on and off and so it was hard to keep track of everything, but once I really got into it, I couldn’t put it down. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.
This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab
The second book in this wrap-up is This Savage Song! I had high hopes for this one, I know that books by Victoria Schwab get outstanding reviews, and I enjoyed this book but it wasn’t my favorite. The writing was good, I just think that I didn’t connect to it fully.
Love & Gelato and Love & Luck by Jenna Evans Welch
The next two books, Love and Gelato and Love and Luck, I will rate together, because they are a series. I actually got a lot of messages when I said that I would start reading these books. I have heard a lot of good things about this book. My opinion is that I enjoyed this book, but I thought there was a bit of an over hype for it. It was definitely a light read, and I was able to finish both books in only one weekend.
We Didn’t Ask for This by Adi Alsaid
This next book, We Didn’t Ask For This was a really important read for me. It had a lot of diverse representation, which is good especially in today’s world. The only thing that I don’t necessarily love about this book was the way that it felt like multiple different stories at one. The author melded in so many important events into one thing that I found to be a little confusing, but other than that, I really enjoyed it.
The Extraordinaries by T.J. Klune
The next book, The Extraordinaries was probably my favorite out of this list. If you guys saw my story updates while I was reading this book, you guys would know how much I loved this book. I cried laughing while I was reading this book, and I also really loved the characters!!
Where Dreams Descend by Janella Angeles
The last book on this list, Where Dreams Descend was another book that I thoroughly enjoyed. It was similar to Night Circus in a way but it was much more flowing in the way that it was written, (does that make sense?) and it also had a lot of mystery. Something to note before reading this book was that it is going to have a sequel, which I didn’t know as I was reading the book, because it ended on a huge cliffhanger, and I wasn’t sure if it was just a stand alone or it also had a sequel.
Conclusion
All in all, I think that the books I read were very good this month, and I definitely recommend all of them. Also, even if I didn’t necessarily love all of them doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t try them out!
